Meena has completed 2 years of blogging and on this occasion she has hosted a nice giveaway event .I have taken the recipe from her blog.She has a very good collection of recipes.I have tried her paneer pasanda and it came out very nice.Everyone in my family loved it.This is the original recipe link.
Ingredients:
Ingredients for paneer cutlet:
- Crumbled paneer or chana - 1 cup (for chana recipe click here)
- Maida - 2 tbsp
- Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Bread slices - 3 (soak in water for 10 secs and press to remove excess water)
- Oil as needed for shallow frying.
Ingredients for gravy:
- Onion - 1 1/2 cup sliced
- Ginger Garlic paste - 1tsp
- Beaten curd - 1/2 cup
- Garam masala poweder - 1/2 tsp
- Red Chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - a pinch (optional)
- salt to taste
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Green Chilies - 2 (you can add more if you want more spicy gravy)
- Cashew nuts - a few (optional)
- Coriander leave for garnishing
Method:
Mix all the ingredients required to make paneer cutlet except oil.Make round flat balls.If you want you can staff the balls.I have not stuffed it.
Now heat little oil in a fry pan and shallow fry both the sides of cutlet till they are golden brown in color.
Keep the cutlets aside.

Now take another kadai and heat 1 tbsp of oil.Add cashew,onion,green chilly and ginger garlic paste.You can add little salt to get the color fast.Fry till the onion changes color.Let it cool and then grind it to a paste with little water.

Now heat 1 tbsp oil in the same kadai. Add the grounded paste. Fry for 4-5 mins.Then add turmeric powder,chilly powder and garam masala. Fry for 1 min.
Then add the beaten curd and cook for some more time till the oil separates.Add 1/2 cup of water and salt. Let the gravy boil.

Now take a dish and keep some cutlets on it.Pour the gravy on top of this.Put some chopped coriander leave for garnishing.

Serve it with roti/paratha or hot steamed rice.
