Prawn Masala
Ingredients:
- Prawn - 250 gm (washed,cleaned and devained)
- Onion - 2 sliced
- Green Chilly - 5-6 slit
- pepper corns - 10
- Curd - 1 cup beaten
- Curry leaves - 15
- Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Ginger garlic chopped - 1tsp each
- Lemon juice - 1 tsp
- Mustard seed - 1/2 tsp
- salt to taste
- sugar - 1/2 tsp

- Mix salt and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder with prawn.Shallow fry prawns in refined oil for 3-4 mins.Do not over fry the prawns as the prawns get cooked very fast and over frying will make them hard.
- Remove the prawns and keep them aside
- In the same oil add the Mustard seeds.Let them crackle.If needed then add some more oil and then add the onions and sugar.Fry till it becomes transparent.
- Now add curry leaves,green chilly,pepper corns(crushed) and chopped ginger garlic.Fry for 2 mins.
- Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and chilly powder.Fry for another 1 min.
- Add beaten curd.Mix well.Then add 1 cup of water and salt.
- Add the prawns when the gravy is boiling.Cover and cook in low flame for 10 mins.
- Before switching off the flame, add lemon juice.Serve hot with hot steamed rice.
